The Food Was Fabulous
An excellent Christmas lunch was produced in our toasty private dining room by Richard and his team at the George. The overall organisation was faultless, a great job performed by Marion who received a well-deserved round of applause. The meal was book-ended with short speeches from our Commodore Stuart and Rear Commodore Derek which included presentations and recognition to Marion, Sue and Barbara for their continued service on the committee and a long-service award for 35 years’ membership of the ODCC to Bob and Joy Tanner.
Full Stomachs and Satisfied Diners
When we reached the George hotel accompanied by our friends/guests Kevin and Amanda, our Commodore, Stuart, was again kindly waiting for us on the door! We’ll try not to make it a hat-trick at the next event and do our best to arrive early!
A Great Party
For us it was great to continue meeting new, like-minded friends and we look forward to meeting John and Sue on the river in their Freeman 33. Finally, Chrissie and I would like to wish all members of ODCC a Happy Christmas and we look forward to catching up with more of you in the New Year!
